Both are really nice, Brian, but you get a gold star for the male bufflehead!

Thank you Mike, they are a beautiful little duck :)

These are two outstanding captures, Paul! Excellent sharpness and clarity!

Thank you for the kindly compliment Mike.
Happy trails.

Nice one, Gary. That eagle had to be pretty lucky to nab the pintail. The pintail may have been wounded by a duck hunter...then it would be easy prey for a raptor.

Black necked stilt @ 1120mm.
I wish the beak and right wing weren't aligned like this, but it's the only shot I got in decent focus of one of these dudes in flight.

I started to start a new thread called "Show me your Butt". This is because I'm spending the week trying my hand at BIF and by the time I see, track and focus, this is all I see. With that said... This shot was taken from a moving Air Boat.

OKAY... All you BIF maniacs. You guys are posting some crazy good kick-a@# shots. I really don't know how you do it. Hat's off to each and everyone of you. You seem to get eye level or better shots and they are TACK SHARP. This week is really my first week trying this since I'm in a location that is much better suited. MAN, THIS IS HARD!!

I'm finally getting some on day 3 that are decent focus. Now, if I had a better angle than the underside. This is one of my best of the day. Two more days to go.
