Two beauties Russ. I'm always trying to capture them with fish in their bills, but very seldom successful.

Thanks for sharing the info regarding the R5 and R6 for BIFs. I'd always figured that if you had a bird at any sort of distance the extra pixels of the R5 would help save the image.

But much more importantly, thanks to Fotoi, I can wish you a Happy Birthday! I couldn't at all improve over the sentiments he so beautifully expressed about you. Hope it's the best ever!

Thank you for the wonderful sentiments, Steve. I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and great birthday wishes. But I think credit here goes to Richard (avondale87). He truly complimented me in a wonderful manner, which I honestly don't think I deserve. But his kindness is very heartwarming.

Adult Sand-martins. They weren't just feeding their young, they were displaying and calling to them. Presumably to encourage them to fledge.

Thanks Mike, you're very kind. The encounter was unexpected so it would have been easier if I'd had the tripod and the images would have been better if I'd had my wellies. I'm very satisfied considering :)
