Could've have used a faster shutter to freeze the wings but I only caught him getting forced off his perch out of the corner of my eye.

Osprey.

A first for me! :-) I only saw one of these guys once before for a few seconds, and the couple of shots that I got weren't very sharp. I watched this guy search for fish for an hour, but he never did dive.

Osprey are everywhere down here. And you're right about waiting for them when they're hunting. They can hang in the air in one spot......and I'm thinking...here we go.........wrong!

But then that's what shooting any wildlife is about: waiting.
