Folks I was in the garden today when something caught my eye above me, I put my camera on it a discovered it was a bird but at first due to its quick movements I thought it was a swift/swallow, it was very very high up - possibly 1000ft so the photo needed a massive amount of cropping ontop of my 300mm crop body set up.

Yep its a PF pergrine falcon quite rare around here.

Attempt at catching sparrows in flight, 1/2000 only sometimes works, even 1/2500 seems to be "slow". I'll have to try 1/3000 next time.
