Your red tail hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) is very similar to our common buzzard (Buteo buteo), whereas your buzzard appears to be a turkey vulture (Cathartes aura).

This female was at my feeder at a range of 25', so I needed to stop down a bit for some DOF. This is the first time I have "frozen" the wings on these elusive little subjects.
