Fotoi...That is a very fine shot. It has a 3D quality to it. Did you use flash to help stop the motion of the wings?

barn swallow

Great job on the barn swallow, sidknee. Nice, clean and sharp image on that one. I've spent many hours trying to capture a decent shot of those guys. I can count the reasonable acceptable keepers on one hand. But I am going to keep trying.

Thanks Mike, I seem to spend a fair bit of time trying too, we've got at least half a dozen pairs nesting here around in the barns, I guess it's the knowledge that there is always a better shot to be had that keeps us trying. But they are flying so fast.........

Thank you Lame... or is it Mr Duck? Fish eagles are an awesome bird to photograph & the local fishers toss them fish scraps to show them off.

Love these. Are they the same as the bateleur eagle? I saw some bateleurs in South Africa back in 2000 but wasn’t into bird photography then.

No they are a different bird. The Bateleur is a more colourful bird. I do have pics somewhere, but not just to hand.
