Thank you, Will! I am using Sigma MC-11 adapter, which allows me to use all my Canon lenses on Sony A9, works great. I also used a Kenko 1.4X TC (or Canon 1.4x sometimes) in this case. The MC-11 does not fit the Sony 1.4x TC physically (the latest Metabones adapter does).

Thank you, I have the MC-11 and have been having success with it on the A7R3. Rented this lens for 5 days which convinced me to buy it to use on the A7R3. I still have a 7D2 so dual purpose lens. Thanks for the info.
