Now for my mediocre attempt - as per my other post, Motor racing is really my thing so trying to get a BiF was more of a challenge than I thought - how does that work? I can get a great sharp shot of a bike doing 200mph but fair miserably when it comes to birds. . . . . Anyway, my efforts from today:
Shot with 1Dmk4 / 300mm 2.8 mkii and canon 2x extender all handheld
#1 - 1/800, f/3.5, iso 100, 300mm crop from a flock of?? (I'm a poet and didn't know it)
![]() | HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO |
#2 - 1/1000, f/5.6, iso 400, 600mm Gull - not sure which
![]() | HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO |
#3 - 1/1000, f/6.3, iso 320, 600mm Canadian Goose shot that I actually quite like
![]() | HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO |
#4 - 1/1000, f/6.3, iso 320, 600mm Tight crop from above
![]() | HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO |
#5 - 1/1250, f/6.3, iso 1000, 600mm very quick 'grab' and tight crop, just caught him / her flying off with breakfast
![]() | HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO |
#6 - 1/1000, f/5.6, iso 400, 600mm Quite like the background here
![]() | HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO |
So, that's a few of the birds in flight I caught today, not 100% certain about them myself but I am my own worse critic.
Thanks for looking
.DAVID.
