Stunning Gary!
I have heard of this when Ospreys have left injured fish about. What's the back story?

The hide is near Rutland Waters in the UK. Its at a trout farm. We were told they don't throw any dead fish into the pond, but occassionally a fish will get hit by either an osprey or a red kite and either stun or kill the fish, but not get taken out. The red kites seem to have learnt to swoop down and take the stunned fish from the surface, but they were also taking live fish close to the surface (there are tons of fish in the pond so easy for them really). I expect there are some, but anyway, here are a few of my meagre attempts. It is over territory as usual. ![]() And finally a shot where I was maybe a bit too quick as it has only just left the perch. But, hey, you get what you can and have to be thankful! ![]() Hope that you guys like them. Becky Awesome series, absolutely amazing shots, Becky!! LD, or Mike

Very sharp for flying head on, that is tough on the AF. Thank you very much Lester, really appreciate your compliments. But honestly this has less to do with my skills than the amazing capability of the Sony A9 camera. I routinely get over 40 continuous frames in such an action sequence and over 90% would be tack sharp. avondale87 wrote in post #18715523 Wow. Amazing all round. Water really adds to the (obvious) action. Beautifully done. Really appreciate your kind words, Richard, as always. When can you sell the 2x TC to me now that you are a Nikonian? Jack Dawe wrote in post #18715725 Well done! That's spectacular! Thank you very much, Jack Facebook
