Pag...I'm more in the middle of the state between the two major fires. It's the smoke that's a problem here. We are getting it day after day with no relief. Zero wind to blow it out. I sure do feel bad for the huge number of people that have lost everything in those fires (8,800 structures destroyed so far, 50 people have died).

Sorry to hear that hope it all sorts its self out - stay safe.

In my area, we'll all be fine, but so many folks lost everything. I just can't imagine how so many thousands of people will be able to start over when the process is sooo slow. Fortunately, most of us lucky ones can help with donations of all kinds. It will eventually sort itself out, but it's going to take a lot of time.

10 star and congratulations on the FE400!!!!

Thank you very much, Robert! I am loving the lens, though it is heavier than I am used to.

Thank you, Mike! This is an older picture from my trip to Florida Everglades last December. See I still used my old Canon camera and lens, not the new toy Sony A9 :-P:lol:

Thank you, Mike. It is all about keeper rate. With my old rig, I can get some sharp pictures, but percentage was much lower.
That 55-250mm STM is a great beginner bird/wildlife lens. Very cheap, super lightweight, quiet and fast AF, sharp for the price, it got me into bird photography.

It really is all about keeper rate. That's why I've got my eye open for the Canon 7DIII (if it ever come out), the 1DX mkII, or maybe even the Nikon 500D. I'd prefer to stay with Canon since I'm used to them and don't want to have to learn a new system, and purchase new lenses. I would prefer to stay with an APS-C body. That's why I'm holding my breath waiting for the 7DIII.
