Today, I wanted to try out the new 1.4xTC Ver. III with my 400 DO, so I suited up, grabbed my gear and made the long and arduous trek out to my deck.

I was expecting to be shooting Pine Siskins, Chickadees and American Goldfinches. Much to my delight, Redpolls began to arrive. Here are just a few.

I think I'll throw in one of the regulars for good measure.

Well Harv, it certainly looks like the 1.4 is a raging success because that is a stunning set. I think this is the start of a new love affair for you.

Excellent images Harvey... you captured them beautifully... If I recall, this is the first time you have seen them this year... if so, it could be a lot of shots down the road, I hope they hang around for you.

Great series Harvey. You really extracted some quality shots out of the 400 and 1.4.

Seems like a great combo, Harvey, for these are very beautiful. Love the snow on the bird in #6. Wonderful series.

Beautiful set, Harvey. You caught some great poses, I love #5. The new gizmo seems to work well!
