Harv, that TC and lens make a great combination. Terrific series!

Well Harv, it certainly looks like the 1.4 is a raging success because that is a stunning set. I think this is the start of a new love affair for you.

Thanks a lot, Lloyd. My 'go to' lens for static birds is normally my 500 but for long walks the 400 is much lighter. The TC gives me extra focal length when I need it. So far, so good.

Excellent images Harvey... you captured them beautifully... If I recall, this is the first time you have seen them this year... if so, it could be a lot of shots down the road, I hope they hang around for you.

Thanks a lot, Dave. Actually I had a couple here a few weeks ago and got some images. The two previous days, I had about half dozen around but on this day (yesterday) these were part of a flock of probably 100 birds. So far today... nada.

Great series Harvey. You really extracted some quality shots out of the 400 and 1.4.

Thanks very much, Leo.

Seems like a great combo, Harvey, for these are very beautiful. Love the snow on the bird in #6. Wonderful series.

Thanks very much, Levina. It appears to work just fine.

Beautiful set, Harvey. You caught some great poses, I love #5. The new gizmo seems to work well!

So it seems, Ian. Thanks a lot.

Shooting with more great Canon gear than I deserve.
I don't need a second childhood. I'm not finished yet with the first one.
