RB = Red-bellied woodpecker. We're blessed with many of them here. Always good for shooting practice.

ah of course... the speckled wings looked like a woodpecker and I though RB was Red Breasted but "I'm the new guy here" and wasn't gunna do too much guess work...

You'll get used to the common abbreviations after a while. These are pretty common in the eastern US and do get posted frequently. Sometimes I have to figure out what an abbreviation is especially for birds we don't see here.

We seem to be missing one here this year - the Yellow-bellied sapsucker. Last year we had quite a few. Plenty of these colorful friends though.
