Thanks to the education I've received here at POTN, I just picked up my first set of strobes a little over a month ago and, while practicing with them at home, I figured I'd shoot the only model I had available to me at the time. She's somewhat undressed, but I don't think the mods will mind that I didn't post this in the G&N section.

Enjoy the inner beauty of the Elinchrom monolight!

Looks like something the TSA might have captured at an airport... ;)

(Congrats on the lights)

Thank you! Oh, and now that you've mentioned it, it does look like one of those airport x-ray shots!

Thank you! So far, I'm still experimenting with different setups and learning the effects that are produced with some trial-and-error. I picked up a 59" Visico Octabox on top of the items that I received with the used pair of strobes. That consisted of a silver umbrella, a shoot-through white umbrella, a 6.25" reflector with a diffuser and a 7" reflector with a grid and diffuser. I'd like to pick up some more modifiers, but I really need to learn to use what I have now before I take another step.

Thank you! Now, I just need to learn how to use all of this! Fortunately, my extended POTN family is always there to help me learn (and spend). :)

Power to the purple! Love it! Of course, I have three translucent purple 600RXes myself. New ones wear drab gray flannel suits. Bah.

Yeah, I'm partial to the purple also. ... I purchased mine at different times, so they don't match. I have one purple and one gray .

For some reason, my translucent Elinchroms always remind me of the old Renwal Visible Man models:

Does anyone else remember the fantastic Renwal "Visible" series models (Visible V8, Visible Wankel, Visible Airplane Engine, ...)? I had them all. The Wasp radial was an astoundingly great model. Have I digressed?
