I'm assuming you used the Canon 18-55IS.

I HAVE an S95, and being completely unbiased because it's the internet and I simply don't care, it is tack sharp. If you have (and I hate to say it this way) a good copy of the S95, you can never complain about lack of sharpness or loss of color in low light video.
