I like the composition but somehow I feel like the image is not that compelling; any opinions?

Perhaps making the center person (or one of the others if you're feeling artsy) stand out more? They're all the same size so nothing is really calling my eye out to any one of them in particular. On the odd occasion I do shots like this, I leave the subject in color and b&w filter everything else.

Too bad you couldnt have delayed the shutter a tad to get some streaks from the rain drops. It might have blurred the subjects, though. I like the concept. Nice shot.

Good idea, I just got the IS version of the 70-200 4 and I was still stuck on the idea of a decent shutter speed to keep things sharp; didn't realize I could possibly slow the shutter.

I edited the shot to make some changes as suggested:

I like the edit a lot. I would straighten the horizontal lines though.

Not sure if I can straighten as I would lose the upper left figure.

You can straighten the lines and keep the man in the corner, make a selection with the pen tool in pshop and copy/paste unto a new layer, now use the ruler tool and straighten the image, you should still have your new layer on top, free transform and use the eraser tool to smooth out the edge so that it blends in with the road. Good luck :)

Nicely done! I'm not that proficient with PS yet. I did rotate and actually maybe prefer the figure out the top left a little less in the frame. Thoughts?

have you tried cropping the top left guy out completely? I'm trying to picture it in my head, but I can't quite visualize it. maintaining the same dimensions as the original of course.

^ I thought that as well.if you scroll and leave the upper guy out, it still has impact.

I like it.

However, I am not a big fan of the selective coloring if you keep the picture as is. It is too busy and my eye keeps going to the lower right, and I feel you need to change this.

I agree with others that cutting out the guy on the top left will change the picture for the better. And when you do that, the dynamic changes and the color in the lower right does not seem distracting anymore.

I am not sure if you can post-process the picture more to enhance any puddles that may be there.

Play with it, have fun and don't be afraid to crop.
