Anyone live in Austin, TX?

Anyone here live in Austin TX, near the convention center? I just got an assignment to cover the SXSW festival ( the music part ) and i'm trying to figure out where I can stay... The hotel blocks they had for the festival are sold out (of course). If anyone has an extra room (i'll pay!) or knows of a cool place to stay thats not like 250+ a night, post here! i'm desperate haha

Dang you are screwed if you dont have something booked. Hotel/motels near any type of event will be pricey and in general expensive in any capital district. I think thats just the way it works.

Why do you need to stay in Austin? There is Buda, Georgetown, etc etc and only a short drive away.

If I was a single still and had a couch to rent to you I would just to gawk at your camera gear!!

Yeah it's a ****ty thing. Thankfully I technically don't pay for it, my employer does, but, yeah, damnit! haha
