Had about 12 inches of fresh snow last night and this morning and my birds were certainly anxious for me to clean them off a spot and spread some seed for them. It didn't take long for the seed to get covered and they had to "dig" for it. Likewise, it didn't take long for me to get covered as it was really blowing inside my blind through the open window and I was having trouble keeping my 70-200 dry. After about 20 minutes I gave up and let the birds eat in peace.

Always interesting to see shots taken in "not so hot" circumstances, which I suppose.. can be taken two ways :) ... you did an excellent job of capturing these images in the snow. I really like the second Blue Jay shot and the American Tree Sparrow is great... nice work Mike.

Mice series Norwalk. It's a smile maker when you see that shock of blue in the snow We always scatter seed outside the studio window for songbird shooting. They all were busting tail today to get down there and dig it out. Two hours for us to find the bottom of the driveway.

Thanks Philz, I get lucky now and then

Thanks Dave, appreciate it

Thanks Cleveland Sam, the red of the cardinal was even prettier against the snow but I had headed in by then.

That's good to hear Sharon but it is a long way from there to here, about 2 months yet.

Thanks Jack!

Nice shots, all of them. I'd be tempted to remove the lower left branch fragment in the first one.

What kind of blind do you use?

Thanks Munroe!

Thanks George, good idea on the branch. I use the "outhouse" blind by Ameristep and really like it because of it's height as I can sit upright in a chair inside it looking out the windows.
