I wanted to take my camera, but my friends and family forbid me at my son's wedding. That wasn't too bad, it was torturous hot that day. I felt bad for Jim who was taking pictures that day. Take the camera, but let it stay in the car if you want to enjoy your family. That way if you really want it, take it out for a few, but no more than that. Enjoy life's events, you don't have to take pictures all the time.

I didn't realize it was so long ago that we met. Your son was only 10 years old. You marry them off young, huh, Suzy? ;)

Enjoy the wedding, be a participant not a recorder.
Hopefully you all hired a competent professional, and there will be plenty of other people there with cameras, I am sure, taking candids.

You want to be present in the photos....not in the background with a camera glued to your face.
This is one time you don't need a camera.

my daughter and her fiance have told me that I am shooting their formals at their wedding next year. A friend of mine that shoots with me sometimes is going to handle the rest. I am NEVER without a camera that I can get to quickly.

I'm atending a wedding of a friend this week. I doubt I'll take a camera but my wife will take the G11.
