- tried a custom diffuser, an egg shaped diffuser thingy placed in front of the pop-up flash
- pics mostly not planned ....
- some pics were taken under natural lighting ... definitely need more practise and find suitable settings
- all hand held
- ... honestly, beginning to feel a need to step back, having a mega brain fart and hide the macro lens ... feels like i'm not improving much. grrrrr

Im going to ignore that statement, these shots are excellent, especially with the pop-up flash!

I am jealous! Everything here is still more-or-less frozen :(
Really nice series. #2 is my favourite!
I have also found that the pop-up flash works quite well for macro photography. Even with a larger lens you can always devise some kind of a tube light-guide to divert it where you need it and it's certainly powerful enough to light a 1cm subject. Best of all, it's free and TTL metered :)

They look good, nice shots. I'd love to find #6 roaming around.

thank u folks for the kind comments and encouragements.

feeling a lot better ... need more time to background process, envy other pics and figure out how to improve with my current gear ...

- i'm confining my macro shoots to whatever i can find when gardening during weekends. will not give up, continue practising and find what suits :)
