My very large flock of Redpolls is still around so I decided to shoot a few more using my 500. While I was at it, I shot a few of the other residents as well.

Beautiful shots with the "Big Dog" Harvey... clear and crisp... happy to see someone else has the Pine Siskins eating them out of house and home ;)

Another excellent set Harvey, well-done in every way.

We saw very few Siskins this year, and we never see Redpols here... so it's especially nice to see such good shots of those guys. It seems the Juncos have begun to moult now (ours too)... I'd not noticed that in prior years. And I must say your Goldfinch already has more color than ours do down here.

A very nice selection of the "little guys"... and great shooting as always,

Kenn

Thanks a lot, Dave. Yes, the 'Big Dog' does good work, but it's also a heavy dog to lug around.

And yes, the Siskins have been eating me out of house and home for months now. I've had a large population of them here all winter and I don't mind feeding them. They are great little birds that are very comfortable with my being around them.

Thanks a lot, Kenn. I have had a large number of the Siskins here all winter. Did not have any last year.

This is the first year that I've had more than one or two Redpolls here. For the last few days, there have been conservatively a hundred or more here. I hope they stay around a while.

I have noticed the Goldfinches beginning to brighten up a bit here in the last week. I saw a male that is starting to show the black cap and brighter yellow shoulders.
