Help !

I have a Canon T1i and a Canon Speedlite 430 EX II, I purchased a RPS Studio Wireless Speedlite Trigger Kit to use the flash off camera. I can't get the camera to fire the trigger. I was wondering are these not compatible? The store where I purchased this trigger said this set up would work. Any ideas?????? Any help will be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Snickerdoodle

You have the transmitter and the receiver on the same channel?
Did you try NEW batteries?
Is there a test button on the receiver? Does pushing that fire your flash?
Is there a test button on the transmitter? Does pressing that fire flash?
Did you put your 430 in manual mode?

Yes to all of those....I used the test button and it worked fine...it is from the camera to the trigger that it isn't working.

If you place the 430 in the hotshoe does that work. You may have a loose connection with the hotshoe.
Try holding down on the transmitter while in the hotshoe and see if that makes any difference.
