Add a how to for the lens hood please!!! Was it the same scrap? Did you do anything to make the join look better? Is there a "bottom" on a lens hood? I want to do this! I noticed your lens hood, the vinyl went a bit over the top, did it wrap under neath? Sorry for 20 questions, I srsly want to do this. I like the idea of hiding the red ring when traveling.

That?

Yeah, same stuff, bigger piece. Much more patience needed, gotta heat up the vinyl to shrink it to pull it over the back (and it still looks like junk, IMO)

What do you mean by bottom of the hood? It can go onto the lens 2 ways.
What do you mean it went over the top?

This thread caused me to purchase the 2mm art tape when I saw it at Staples. My 24LII is now just a simple 24mm lens. Muahahahaha.

Would like 1mm to fit perfectly, but 2mm is fine.

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

If I put a red ring around my 85 1.8, will it make the AF slower? :p

LOL! :D

I am wrapping 'round the vinyl ribbon, hiding the seam
Disguising all my cheap lenses with this scheme
it can't be that gold, or green, silver, blue or pink
I need piece and quiet, focused on wrapping that...

Red ring wrapping 'round
Red ring
Red ring wrapping 'round
the lens on my APS-C

I think the red ring on the sigma is kind of like burning a flag, but ten times worse.
