I forget sometimes about how fortunate I am to live where I do. A 30 minute walk through a local park with my family showed sap suckers, pine siskins, varied thrush, trumpeter swan, raven, eagle, geese, sea and freshwater ducks and others. (did not bring a field guide) I am not even a bird person. Fun walk with family.

Wow-now that's red! Unique bird. And yes, you are fortunate to live there!

Thank you for the nice replies. I do feel very fortunate to raise my family were I do. Sharing her home with my 4 year old daughter through a camera continues to be a joy.
