I was shooting at an event. All was well but when I looked at the flashdisplay the entire display was flashing on and off. The gun was working well so what was it telling me? I couldn't find the answer in the manual.
Thanks

If the "Wide Panel" is out and the flash head is used at any position other than 90 degree's, the LCD panel will flash as an alert waring. Nikon D810 Nikon 50F/1.4G - Nikon 70-200F/2.8II

Using the the "Wide Panel" in a bounce configuration with result in an improper looking lighting situation, per Canon's use recommendations.

apersson850 Obviously it's a good thing More info | The flash wants to tell you that when you are bouncing, there is usually no point in also using the wide panel. Anders
