I know many say it won't work outdoors but that is hogwash. I have purposely set up difficult situations (flash behind the camera) and the flashes fire every time as long as the trigger has something to reflect off of (i.e. white or light shirt.)
I have never seen anyone say they do not work outside. I have seen that they do not work reliably outside in bright sunlight. This is a very true statement. By your own comment you need your subjects to dress in white so your camera equipment will work.
ChewieT, get some inexpensive wireless triggers like the Yongnuo RF-602 or the soon to be released RF-603 and shoot with manual flash off camera. You will get reliable operation and consistent lighting. I have never seen the triggers you linked to before so I cannot comment on them.
