So I just picked up an Asahi Pentax 110 film SLR. Its funny how I ended up deciding I want it. Some time ago I visited an old camera repair shop that sells all kinds of used gear. Between a bunch of old lenses, I saw this tiny 18mm f/2.8 lens. So I picked it up for about 10$. Later I looked it up online and found out that its from the Asahi Pentax 110 film made in 1979. Falls under the category of subminitiature cameras and mini SLR.

The package I picked up came with : Camera Body, Camera Case, 18/2.8 Lens, 50/2.8 Lens, AF-130P Flash, Flash Case, Lenshood for 24/2.8, Lenshood for 50/2.8, Lenshood for 18/2.8, Close-up Lens S31 for 24/2.8, Close-up Lens S16 for 24/2.8, Close-up Lens W21 for 18/2.8, Close-up Lens T86 for 50/2.8, Close-up Lens T43 for 50/2.8, Filter Sky for 24/2.8, Filter UV for 24/2.8, Filter Sky for 18/2.8, Filter UV for 18/2.8, Body Mount Cap, Tripod Spacer for 50/2.8.

Really excited about picking up some film!

Does anyone know where I can get such film developed?

:D

Cute little things, aren't they? All I can find of mine are the body, 24 & 50 mm lenses (with hoods), AF-110(?) and AF-130 flashes, and the winder. Cases for the body & AF-130. Unfortunately the AF-110's suffering from battery leakage.
110 film? Not sure who even makes it any more, let alone processing it. But if you can find someone who sells it, they should also be able to get it processed (although it'll take a while!). I do have a SS reel for processing it.

i found a couple of places online that sell the film, a few on Ebay. I thought I could get it processed at camera shops which process film. Im not talking about Walmart or Walgreens.

I was at one of the newer Walmarts in town with a friend that was looking for a portable CD player, and that department happened to be right by the photo department, when I saw to my surprise, Kodak 400 ISO film for the auto 110 well stocked. I asked the person in charge of that department were one might get that film developed, and He said; Right here. Boy, was I ever amazed. I thought the auto 110 was phased out forever.
I used to collect these things, and had a TON of stuff for them untill I gave one complete set including a non broken auto winder to a friend.
Be extremely carefull with your autowinder, as the battery door on the winder will break VERY easy, and most on ebay are already broken. This was a known flaw amongst collectors. I then ebayed the rest with ONE exception. One look at this one should explain why I kept it. ;)

hahahah Super reason for keeping it ;)
that is a hard peice of lightproof box to come by. I would know.
listen, do I ultimately need the winder to use the camera? Im assuming the winder rolls the film upon insertion and excretion (lol) from camera. The package I bought did not come with it but the seller assured me that it did not need the winder.

Not at all. Just crank the winder. (The old fashioned way.) ;)
I just thought I'd warn you about the optional battery powered winder in case you ever decide to pick one up. They were only good for a "Blazingly Fast" 1 frame per second anyway. Most folks that actually used this camera preferred it without the winder, as it doubled the cameras size, and sort of defeated the purpose of being so small. I consider the powered winder only useful as a collectors item in the event you want to complete a set. One in good shape will add value to the set. ;)
