I had my first try at skin processing and I want your opinion.

This first picture is the original un-edited.

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'image/png' | Byte size: ZERO


This one I did my self, just covering up the zits and other imperfections while also trying to keep it as natural as possible.

On this one I tried Portraiture for PS cs5

So how did I do?

Can non, can Canon. EOS 7D| G12 |Canon EF-S 15-85 mm IS US|Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6|Speedlite 430EX II.

Since you have CS5, get the book "Restoration and Retouching using Photoshop" by Karin Eismann.

Obviously both are much improved; but I'd eliminate the hot spot on the tip of her nose.

well done touch ups. i like that you didn't go overboard. there are lots of tutorials out there for touch-ups. i've recently started trying to touch up also. here's one that i follow which is really good.
