Curling

I had a chance to photograph a Bantam curling bonspiel.
This young gal had a colorful out fit.
The second shot she had gotten the skips rock ready to throw. She is waiting for him to come down and shoot. Don't know if she is saying a prayer or not.

I know nothing of curling but these are both very sharp, well exposed images. I typically don't like cutting off sticks and such but I think you could have cropped slightly tighter and cut off the end without the broom(?). Regardless, I LOVE the second image as it forces one to wonder what in the world is going in her head at that moment. Good job there.

This club has poor lighting. So I do have a lot of misses. I'm typically shooting at a an ISO of 1250, f-stop 2.8 and shuter speeds of 1/60 to 1/100 sec. Thankfully curling is not a high speed sport.

Lovely facial expressions captured.

From a novices view point, I love them both and the second most.

Were you able to shoot the Curling invitational at the UP Center in Fargo a few weeks ago?
