Is Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl a warm paper?

I just tried this paper for the first time (yesterday) and it seems pretty warm.
I started with a photo that I've printed previously on Canon Platinum paper with the Platinum profile. I compared the soft proofs using the Platinum profile and the smooth pearl profile, and they were virtually identical, so I printed the image on the pearl paper without making any editing changes. The result was noticeably yellower than the print on platinum. I didn't see anything on Ilford's site about the paper having a warm cast.
Has anyone else had this experience with this paper?

HI, I use smooth pearl, and have not noticed any warming that you speak of. Are you sure you are using the correct profile for the paper?

Put blank sheets of the two paper types side by side. If the basic paper color difference is great enough to be seen in a print, it is great enough to be seen before printing.

Ilford Smooth Pearl is quite a warm paper. Compared with something like Red River Arctic Polar Satin is like night and day.

Elie, I tried your suggestion and, in fact, the smooth pearl is "ice cold" compared to the platinum.

But Charles also experiences the paper as being warm.

Maybe I was holding my mouth wrong. Maybe it's time to try with a different photo.

I use IGSP on a Pro9000 (original). I do not use Ilford's supplied profile because of a colour cast I don't like (although I'd not previously thought to describe it as warm).

I've made my own profiles using Spyder 3, and more lately using Colormunki, and get lovely results (and good screen print match).

I wasn't suggesting that the paper has a color cast, but that it is not pumped up with optical brighteners. It's slightly darker and warmer than the HP Premium Plus Paper I commonly use and seems to be on a par with Red River Ultra Pro Satin.

I use a Canon i9950 with Ilford paper and there icc profiles for all my wedding work and have no problems..
