I heard that Apple will switch to Amd.

I don't know if it's a good move. I wanted to buy one with the intel i7 but budget wise it was planned for next november-december. Guess I will have to wait more to see if they will be as reliable...

What a bad timing....

From the article's headline:
"Shares of Advanced Micro Devices Inc. jumped Thursday, after Apple Inc. said its updated MacBook Pro notebooks will feature the chip company’s graphics processors."

This can't be all bad, seeing as ATI is now under the AMD umbrella, and ATI has consistently
offered very strong graphics processing and stable software drivers. As far as I'm aware,
AMD has acquired ATI, but left them largely alone to do what they have always done so well.

Even if Apple will offer computers with AMD central processors, they're likely to take
the stance of other OEMs, offering either Intel or AMD choices.

Very interesting but I am sure that Apple would still keep the prices inflated of their computers.
