can someone identify this guy for me? He has visited my favorite shade tree everyday this week. I know it's a woodpecker. just curious as to what kind. Thanks in advance...

looks like a baby or female red headed woodpecker

Sorry, that looks nothing like a Red Headed Woodpecker, Juvenile or otherwise. Red Headed Woodpecker is a solid black on white with a solid red head. A Juvenile is just black and white.

Could be a Red-Bellied Woodpecker juvenile, but IMHO it look much more like the Juvenile Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, or one that is in molt.
