General description:
I have my PC connected to a CRT and my Samsung 50" DLP but after a few hours the ATI 5450 video card settings revert from my calibrated settings to the drivers' Default positions....

The details
....after 2-3 hours of watching my HP Pavilion Elite 310t on both my 22" Compaq P1210 CRT (DVI to VGA with adapter) and 50" Samsung HDTV (HDMI to HDMI) the video card (ATI 5450/512mb) Desktop (Color) Properties revert to the default settings....gamma for each color channel, as well as brightness and contrast....

My desktop background is Ansel Adams b/w photos (a great set of Screen Saver pix!) so the switch is VERY obvious...more than it might be if it were color...

If I go to ATI's Catalyst Control Center I can reset the settings to mine but I don't understand why the video card won't keep my calibrations....

Any ideas....?

I've called HP and they think the problem is that I'm using a CRT and an HDMI at the same time and that HP support is conducting an investigation to determine other causes....

I'm pretty sure that this switch back to default settings does NOT happen when I'm just using the CRT and NOT the Samsung...

Thank you for any and all responses and help.

That's what I was thinking...I'll check out the fan when that happens again...

Just to update...I had to send the PC back to HP and they replaced both the video card AND the motherboard (in-warranty service)...all seems okay...for now...
