Not sure, Just converting RAW to Tiff in CS5. But if I merged the layers, DPP wouldn't even open them. I don't know the difference between flatten and merge, but I use Elements now instead of Gimp and it doesn't seem to be an issue.

tonylong ...winded More info | Feb 28, 2011 17:37 | #7 DPP does have "issues" with tiffs from other apps. If you are just looking to use DPP to print, I'd convert to a high-quality jpeg in Photoshop and then open it in DPP (or ZoomBrowser). Tony

I suppose there could be differences because they use different color management engines, DPP using Windows CMS and PS using ACE. Personally I have never been thrilled by CMS, but its a matter of taste and I haven't actually tried printing from DPP. Elie / אלי

If you want to open the tifs in order to edit them further in DPP, that's just crazy. I dont edit them in DPP, CS5 is my only editing program that i like to use. Well, It was in Canon Pixma Pro 9000 Pro paper other, Color match. Then i discovered that it looked better in sRGB, color match. I just compared a old print to a new print using new refill inks.
