Advice, suggestions, critique all welcome!

get lower... always try to be on the same level as your subject!

They are both underexposed and the lighting is flat.

The white balance seems off too. There's too much blue tint.

The lighting is slightly better on the 2nd photo because it's got a key light. You should aim for lighting closer to your 2nd photo but bump up the exposure a tad more.

Very cute young lady with beautiful eyes.

Both images are under exposed though and could probably use a contrast boost.

They look to be using natural light but they are flat - no shadows. Shadows can be good, providing a real 3D look to your images. Shadows just have to be controlled.

Thanks for the feeback! it was a very cloudy day when these were taken and looking at them now I agree the first one looks very flat. I am going to play around with it on photoshop and see what I can do.

#1 has a pretty heavy cyan cast. I don't know if this is "right," but it might give you some idea where you might go with color adjustments.

I like the angle you shot from on this one. Great little model, too!

Thanks. I'm guessing the auto WB setting under cloudy skies is what knocked the color off. You should try shooting raw. Makes it easier to adjust color.
