I havnt seen any thing like this but it would be cool a 30f/1.4, 50 f/1.4, 85 f/1.4 all from sigma. would this be a better and cheaper option then canons holy trinity ( comparing you get a 3 good copies from sigma). Thats what i am thinking about doing for sports, and portraits any comments on these 3 lens

I believe a member on here owns all three, maybe they should chime in.

I've owned all three and they are a heck of a bargain. They are very close in performance with Canon's best and come at a fraction of the cost. If you want performance and want to save a little bit of money, the Sigma primes are excellent tools. If you're looking for info on any particular lens, the lens archive has great examples.

Given that you have a microadjust-capable body, you really can't go wrong. I have no experience with the 85, but the 50 and 30 are fantastic. The 50, aside from the obvious focus issues and a bit of corner softness, is one of the best 50mm primes out there.

only one of them seems long enough for sports in my opinion....and even then i think more reach would really be better...

The 30 1.4 is for 1.6 cropped cameras only. This trinity does not apply to full frame.

I'm one that uses the unholy trinity (among other lens) on 1.6x crops.

I like them all - use 50mm for most everyday situations when I want the better photo quality of a prime; 30mm indoors when I need something wider and the 85mm is most used outdoors when I want to isolate the subject without enough room to go to the 135.

I've used all indoors where flashes weren't allowed and I needed the speed.

All have required some MA on my 7D (but so has the 135L!). After MA focusing has been good enough for most of my needs - taking pictures of the kids doing things.
