I did a quick search to see if anyone had already reported this, but didn't find anything, so apologies if it is old news. There's currently on UK eBay an original Canon FD-EOS converter: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk …kid%3D7459780464040693773 (external link).
I know they're rare and very high quality etc., but asking £2,000 seems to me to be pushing it a bit far. It's also strange for such a small item that he's only offering local pick up. Anyone interested?

Mark.

meh...what they put crap out on ebay for means nothing...this may be the 14th time he's posted it without any luck. Just because it's out for 2k pounds, doesn't mean it'll sell for anywhere near that.

Last time I looked at this kind of thing (last summer) it was attached to a 600mm FD lens and both of them combined went for only a little over 2k US on ebay. FD prices seem to be on the rise a little right now, but 2000 pounds is definitely way too much.

Some months ago such an adapter was sold I think for ~ 800 Euro - what is USD 1.100.
There are still many good big FD lenses around!

I was asked today if I could FD-EF-convert the 300, 400 and 500mm FD L lenses of one person!
