Is that a crappy implementation of the Black Background, or simply the JPG effect on the photo? I may sound ultra naive, but I thought the blackness was real (meaning not photoshoped). To me, it's an incredible accomplishment. Call me dumb, but I ran to my 40D and hugged it, and showing it the photo I said "See? This is what you can do..." We limit ourselves so much to our equipment. I am still getting used to having ONLY a 40D. I miss the 10 fps, I miss the 45 AF points, etc. But I do have a fine device, that in the proper hands, will accomplish the task that it was designed to do. ![]() Abso-effin-lutely. Name's Andy!

Still, it does not take away from the image or the capture. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
