A retired military controller told me that once when we saw a USAF T-37 take off and depart our airport. He was joking about the fact that these airplanes make a lot of noise but don't go very fast.

When I was at NAS Corpus Christi (1979) one of these was taxiing out to the active. I was about a 3/4 mile from the runway and could here it's "idling screech". (loudly)

Actually the A-37 used a non-afterburner T-38 engine (GE J-85) and did not "tweet" like it's trainer counterpart. Nice picture though, what's the story? Airshow?

"Wings Over Illawarra", south of Sydney, Illawarra airport, home for the HARS (Historical Aircraft Restoration Society. )It was promoted as an airshow but it was far from it! Apparently they had a lot of restrictions placed on them so it was more like an open day/fly in.
