Is a 5DII (kit lens) and JuicedLink preamp on a Manfrotto 701 head going to be too much for my Gitzo 1541 (no center column, of course)?

If I needed to get a new/used dedicated video tripod with twist locks and max. height of say, 50", any suggestions? Think BUDGET, I shouldn't be spending this...
I know I have to compromise on something, I guess it would be weight, I'm not traveling with it. Can't sacrifice stability.

Manfrotto 055XProB? Reaches 55 inches even without center column.
