Some kind of wasp. It's got a nice set of mandibles which it probably either uses for chewing off nest building materials or for ripping apart other insects. Beautiful iridescent effect in the wings by the way !

Lovely captures- assume it's a blue-winged wasp - Scoliidae - thought to be beneficial in the garden preying on beetle grubs.
