Does it?

From the 'conclusion' section of the review:

"... I have a hard time recommending Capture One. I really wanted to like it and I know it has its fans, but I just can’t justify its price tag vs the output quality or the workflow. The interface is nice and clean, but it has nothing worth 4 times the price of DXO or the quality and workflow offered by Lightroom."

It's an interesting article but the 3 most popular raw convertors on these forums are probably DPP, Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw, but this test only looked at one of those. We probably have more people on here using Aperture, Picasa and IRFanView than we have using DXO, Bibble and CaptureOne.

LR 3 beta & Capture One v5 were used I see - Not sure if the current LR v3.3 and C1 v6.1 are any different?

I tend to use LR (3.3) mainly, but do have C1 (v6.1 pro) and DPP on my PC. Sometimes C1 and/or DPP get me the result I want that LR fails to deliver, mainly more natural/correct WB and colours.

well i test it
i installed a trial version i guess they buy the canon the ability to read as well the raw files

i used for 2 days , and it's amazing
for example for headshots , is even better the dpp
and what i like is the only one that can read canon raw crypted data
i mean if you shoot black white in raw
only dpp and capture one will show u a b/w photo

i found amazing but not cheap at all

i can understand aperture , but irfanview is a viewer

about dpp what i don't like about it , i can not use the curve as i want
in photoshop i can move the mouse around the photo click and add a curve point
but can't do it in dpp , don't know why they don't add this feature

Some people want that but others prefer that the convertor ignore those settings. Especially when shooting black and white where most people wan the control they get when converting in Photoshop after the raw conversion.

I use Lightroom for my "serious" stuff, but I enjoy DPP for "quick" conversions!
