So?

just saying you might wanna check it out... what more if you do crossfire with it :D

Ya know I got tired of chasing for the latest and greatest when it comes to PC equipment. I use it as long as I can until I feel it's necessary to upgrade. The only thing I would have to upgrade is my video cards or go for more RAM but, I don't need to.

it sure is a daunting task to always chase the latest and greatest hehe coz there's always new every few months or so... I'll build this computer and probably forget everything about computers for the next few years and just learn again when the time comes that I want to upgrade :D

What's wrong with the colors on your screen? Are you seeing pink, orange, and purple?

neon green...

tbh, its as bright as some of my nuclear photos... but maybe its due to the contrast between the shaded area and the green that makes the green even more striking

Trust me. I used to spend tons of money on upgrading my vid cards every time something new came out. It was a waste of money just to see 10-15% increase in performance. It's not worth it.

yeah technology right now is already very very good that there is really very little to improve on each and every release.

hehe.. if most games will run on GTX-580 SLI, then no need to go higher...unless new games are also pushing it so that you will need the newest card as well

I used to think calibrating my TN panel was ok. Although, when I sent stuff out to print, the colors were always way off from what I thought was ok on the monitor.. I understand you're on a budget but, once you get an IPS, you won't go back to editing on anything else.

I never have...-thinks-

Geforce 2 GTS > Radeon 9500 > Radeon 9800(Only cause it was a gift to me) > GeForce 7900GT > GeForce 8800GTS > GTX460 1gb > GTX570

I'm trying to skip generations, and with the 8800GTS i did :) I only ended up with a 570 because i didnt wanna rip this current system apart..

I could get the U2311 for about $300 here... but that would be next time Julian. if its a true IPS panel I would gladly buy it :D

problem is explaining the upgrade to the GF again

Really, its better to skip 1-2 generations and buy a midrange($300-ish) card, Look at a 570 vs a 580 and tell me its really worth another $200 in performance, its barely 10fps in most games iirc

Keep in mind no matter what you spend it will probubly be obsolete at roughly the same time, If I had spent more when i got the 8800GTS i probubly would still have wanted a GTX460 or something because of DirectX 11 and etc...

Wish I could aford to get a good IPS monitor, but I can't at this point in time. Thus, my ASUS 25.5 LCD (TN screen) will have to do. ;)
