Also i was told this at one time, and it does kinda make sense, but unless you have a computer capable of pumping out a solid 60+ fps in a game you probubly wont see a big difference in a 120hz computer monitor...

I can relate to you guys on that - Doc got me on a med or two that gets me a bit out of whack. I have a business meeting later today around 3, didn't sleep last night, and spent the entire night color correcting a 40 minute production that doesn't have a due date just to keep my head on straight.

By the way, these aren't SSRIs - if the doctor DOES have you on SSRIs, please... please don't quit them cold turkey. I'm a psychologist (not professionally, but I have a degree and field experience) and that stuff will royally play with your brain chemistry if you don't ween yourself off. Its less hell to half your dosage and deal with it for a few days before dropping it entirely. I think Kenji said he weaned off of his.

With a dual monitor set up, you don't have to worry about minimizing. Both can be open at the same time. Or you can edit in LR and surf POTN at the same time. ![]() I currently have a dual monitor setup with my laptop as 2nd monitor...but it slows down the laptop a bit

Although, when I sent stuff out to print, the colors were always way off from what I thought was ok on the monitor.. I understand you're on a budget but, once you get an IPS, you won't go back to editing on anything else. I think that all depends. My Dell XPS laptop (who knows what kind of screen that is, doubt it was IPS) had bang on colors. All prints that I sent off to be made were bang on. I guess I got lucky with it. If you can get a hold of color profiles for the company that your sending prints to that helps a lot also. IPS is the way to go though -Omar- Flickr

The colors at this place were very mute. The only way to make it interesting is to make it mono. Taken with the 70-200 MK II @ 100mm, aperture @ f/4. EDIT: I made it a bit lighter here. I felt it was too dark. ![]() I like this shot a lot Julian! KenjiS wrote in post #11985012 ^- very cool... I see the pop but i think there is so much green in this image that it becomes distracting. Im over loaded by it. Especially since the tombs are white it only enhances how much green there is. -Omar- Flickr
