Going to watch Battle LA with some coworkers. The ratings say it sucks but, I'll make my own judgement. :)

Random question fellow geeks, I have a tammy 17-55 on my nikon, and the lens does a weird shift thing sometimes. It takes great pictures, and is sharp. The last time I had a lens do this it ALWAYS did it and I returned it. It sort of shifts, I see the entire picture shift in the viewfinder, as I click the shutter. It's very weird. It only happens every once in a while and I was shooting 1,000+ pictures in one afternoon and it probably did it 2 or 3 times.

Here at work. Download speeds are great (a bit lower than they can be too, too many people browsing in the late afternoon.) Upload speeds always suck with Cox though...

There's no way Steven will be able to play with us in CS.

Did you see this? ;)

krepta wrote in post #12019684 (external link)
Oh ho! That might cause you some problems playing CS and DoD with us. Latency kills!

Hey Omar, I found someone to replace you as the Free Kill!

I'd be glad to have Steven join us with those speeds!

Cool! That's one I want to see. I know it's a B movie at best, but it still looks like a fun B movie. Let us know how it is!

Pfft... I used to play 1.6 and CS:CZ on 56k! It sucked, but it's semi doable :p

He actually may be ok (I mean he's almost at 1mb/s down), it really just depends on the serve quality / location.

You're stuck with Cox also? I have Cox at home. They own the entire city where I live, which is pretty much a monopoly. There are no competitors, so they can charge us whatever they want.

It's the same here, I have it at home as well. It's Cox or DSL... I'll stick with Cox.

I really want Verizon Fios though... it needs to come to Phoenix!

So? :p

Up until like a year ago we we're stuck on two bonded T1's, then moved to the Cox, but it was only a fraction of the speed that we have now.
