Stop it, you're going to give me the itch! Aya! :(

Ooh, good idea. I shall check. That might be better than the rebates if I find a good price.

Yes! The eligible bodies for the double rebates on lenses are 60D, 7D, 5DII, 1D4, and 1Ds3. Bonus is that 60D and 7D currently have their own instant rebates going. I think the 7D is $200 rebate.

It's a great backup. My 7D came home the other night, smelling like Korean BBQ... I think it cheated on me. I think I'll have to talk to her about our future.

Thanks Omar. I also did a search earlier but it looks like all have been sold for now. I'll keep a look out. If I buy though here, I'm not in a rush, as opposed to March 19 for the rebates. And I will probably want to sell my current 70-200 first!

Your 7D knows you dream and think of 5D all the time; that's why she's upset and cheated on you! :p:lol:

The best way to go about it is to post up a WTB. This way the offers come to you and you dont have to search for it. Thats how i got my kenko tubes. None were posted. So i put up a WTB and right away someone came forward. I think it makes it easy for those on the fence to sell since it takes the hastle out of finding a buyer.

I will definitely get a 7D for back up, it is a question of when next week or next month, brand new or refurbished thru clp.

so with the 7D, can have the 24 to 105 mm on the 5D2 and 70- 200 on the 7D for effective 105- 380 for a coverage of 24- 308 mm.
.

they are out of stock at canon refurbished site since a few days ago...so hoping they will comeback. OR B&H reduce their price lower than $1499 after March 19 rebate.

I like that range. looks good. I think you have yourself a winning setup. Thank you for helping to stimulate the economy. As for new or clp, that's a good question. I haven't heard of any bad stories through clp, they're pretty good with refurbished units. What's the difference in cost nowadays through the program?

Oh Tony, I'll be up in Vegas in a couple weeks for my brother's bachelor party, can you recommend any good restaurants on or off the strip?

Good plan i would keep waiting until they come back in stock. Ive heard of CLP 7D's coming in around 1100-1200. Thats a good savings off a new one.

Panda this sounds like a perfect setup for a remake of Hangover the movie :D

what kind of restaurant, type of food and ambiance are you looking for? As you may know some of the best restaurants are inside the hotels. just need to know your liking.

your group should try the buffets of buffets, for $29 or $39 you can eat 24 hours in all the buffets of Paris, Rio, Caesar's palace, Harrahs and Imperial Palace...so think of having breakfast at Caesar's, lunch at Rio and dinner at Paris with midnight snacks at Harrahs and Imperial or back to any.

I was shooting with the 7D and then purchased the 5DII. Since the last purchase, I have been shooting 5DII/24-70, and 7D/70-200II. - but I predominantly shoot with the 5DII.

I do love my other lenses, but I may wind up selling a couple. It will really depend on how I shoot during the warmer weather between now and June. It has been cold and snowy, so when I go out with a lens on the camera, it is difficult for me to change them, being so cold.

The 7D/70-200 is a lot of fun and a really great combo. So is the 5DII/24-70. I was in NJ/Jersey City shooting the buildings of NYC and those were the only combos I used, even though I had a bag full of my other lenses.

just a few of my thoughts...
Pierre
