ahh that's a good combo Kirk... I myself will have the SSD as main OS drive + 1TB 7200rpm on the side :D

as long as the MBP 15" has 2 drive bays..that's the way to go

I was told that the 1TB drive was to wide to fit in there:(

I never, Not once claimed to read your post...

Can put two 2.5" drives in any MBP provided you remove the optical drive. I jamed two 240gb SSD's in my 17" and actually gained batter life :)

So jealous!!!!! Drool!!!

1st, why are you comparing the Tahoe to the exploder.

IMO Ford has always had the best suspension for working and Chevy has always had a better ride.
My dad always told my if I wanted to haul a load, get a Ford. if I want a good for nothing playboy truck get a Chevy.

ive owned both and Like them both. i just feel more at home in a Ford.
Even is she does need a little extra attention;)
And a tow truck
and if I get discount coupons from the local ford shops for my next " major engine repair"
And if i have to push the big thing.

you know what

Runs and Kicks crap out of truck

Ouch
ouch
ouch my F'ing toe

And if she needs some body work

I was gonna call it the Exploder, but I didn't want to make anyone cry.

Dad has an F150 and it definitely cannot handle the weight that my truck can.

I don't like the layout of Dad's truck, totally not comfortable in it.

Like you need a full sized truck.

And yes, a Silverado is better than a F150, and a Tahoe is better than an Explorer.

haha... well if they only come in diesel I would have really considered them..

hahaha I don't know of any smaller Chevy SUV that is comparable to the Explorer... only the Tahoe and Trailblazers are available here.

I pretty much like Ford as well... but a lot of people seems to trash them

That's intresting I'm the total opposite. Trails get to me while
Pavement doesn't. I guess it's because of what we are used to I guess.

I think speed has something to do with it. When I'm trail riding I use the first 5 gears, maybe up to 7. On the road I'm at 21 the whole time. In the city it would probably be different than it is out here. When riding on the roads out here all you see is fields, trees, and farm houses. Gets boring so a person just goes flat out.

Would probably take it easier in the city, more to see, more obstacles to navigate around.

Can't fit the 12.5mm 1TB drives unfortunately though there are supposedly 9.5mm 1TB drives coming out soon which should fit the MBP slim profile. You'll see some battery drain with a mechanical 7200rpm drive though.

I dont know I love riding mine through the country.
Nothing to get in the way. No jacka**s on every corner. Fresh air and endless photo ops.

If you want a well rounded bike look into the hybrid style bikes. Mine is a Trek FX and it handles trails, gravel and asphalt pretty well.

Also practice keeping a consistent cadence to ease the city/ country ride and use your gears properly

I never, Not once claimed to read your post...

I know that I will see some battery drain. I would love to go all SSD but it is still a little rich for my blood at the moment.
i am hoping that I can get a good 5.5 to 6 hours out of it though

You're country probably isn't as flat as ours. My sister and I will go for an evening ride and will cover 15 kms. There are fields, farms, a couple creeks, the railroad, and the co-op.

When I get up to speed I just stay in top gear and go. Knees get pretty sore.

What is your speed in top gear?
I imagine flat land is kinda boring to ride on
