Yeah, I'll get that soon. 70-200 on 7D with battery grip on neck strap sucks.

Yeah that will be a lot of weight! You know i dont even use a grip on my 7D. I had one and it just added to much bulk and weight for me. So i took it off and never looked back. Although i might just go back and buy the OEM one again. Its a PITA to shoot portraits without it.

Ask yourself how much gaming will you realistically be doing. If its little then go for the 2.0 model and apply the bucks you save there towards more RAM and SSD/HDD. All about being real with yourself. If 90% of your use will be photo editing then the 2.0 model will work great for you.

They did that purposely to separate the gamers from those who could care less about gaming. I think its a good move on there part. Your a gamer? pony up more. Not so much of a gamer then the base model is fantastic.

I have 3,000 budgeted for the laptop so I will go ahead with the 2.2
I do not game a lot but I do game. plus I hope to keep it for 3-4 years so with any luck more and more companies may add multi core support.

What Hard drive did you get?

vipergts831 wrote in post #12049596 (external link)
Thats because its the one they have access to. They are not a big time webpage so they didnt have access to the late 2010 model only the mid 2010 model.

Ah, maybe I will wait for the Ken Rockwell reviews then:lol:

Thats a good budget. I had about 500 less than that to play with.

I got the 500gb @ 7200rpm. Since all i have on there is the OS and programs i wanted the speed. Later on ill upgrade it to an SSD. Currently I run all my lightroom photos off an external 1TB WD HDD. This is why im looking into NAS options to wirelessly run all the data.

We should ask Ken Rockwell since he is a part of our thread ;)

Yeah I like this as well Steven. :)

Darn it, you guys are making me want to upgrade, lol! Don't even bother trying to convince me. I just dished out on a pretty expensive lens, and selling my old one won't cover for it.

That means NOTHING!!!

Seriously Alex its upgrade time. DO you not see whats going on all around you in this thread!

Couple more before bed

I have a few better pics of the inside of my rig, Lighting the thing for pics is proving to be a pain in my rear sadly...I am absolutely dreadful with flash photography and that :(

The black interior of the case likely isnt helping, neither is how darn shiny the Ven X is, so that when i get enough light in the computer the Ven X reflects it like a mirror

and heres a shot of my old one all lit up

Bracket these shots and merg to HDR in photoshop Kenji!

No way! My current PC is barely a year old!

And there's plenty of other things I want to buy. Like the Black Rapid Sport. :)

I second this as the next purchase!
