I wanted to get a new 7D body, but B&H was out of stock, ended up with refurbished using Canon Loyalty Program, it shipped today here by Friday.
I wonder if this is just because of the rebates that ended on Sunday. Or supply chain disruptions due to earthquake.

Tony, yes a lot of Canon and Nikon stuff are out of stock right now..probably due to the earthquake

As I understand it, it's Canon Lens's and Nikon FF camera's.... and some chip/part makers which could effect other camera or electronic making plants. And with rolling blackouts for a YEAR projected, everything will be slowed down even if they get rolling again. Nikon will begin making FF bodies again in March.

for example; http://www.nikon.com/about/news/2011/0322_01.htm (external link)

I think if he insulated that thing from ground it would probably start glowing and shooting lightening bolts.
