The single review on B&H seems to show the head either has poor quality or quality control. I would guess the legs might be ok, but you may want another head if the head is replaceable.

Honestly, for that price I would rather get a 055XProB, the Sunpak isn't even that light for a carbonfiber tripod. The Manfrotto 055XProb only weights a tad more.

I bought a SunPak although not that model, not carbon and somewhat cheaper, and I wasn't happy with it. I never seemed to be able to lock down the head good and tight. There was always a little bit of "play" there.

Just my opinion, but a $114 tripod is probably not going to be "perfect", carbon-fiber or not...

James, the folded length is a little on the long side but at a total of 4lbs its not too bad. The price is inexpensive - how will the trigger grip and leg locks hold up under sustained use?
